The EMA team has been active in environmental markets since 2000, at a time when most of what now passes for standard practice was still being worked out.

A founding member of the team began her career in sustainability and carbon before Australian carbon markets existed in any meaningful form. That early work spanned international project development under the Kyoto Protocol and CDM across Asia, Africa, and South and Central America, as well as early participation in Australian schemes as they were being established.

The work since has covered project development, trading, corporate advisory, and transaction structuring, not sequentially, but often at the same time, because that is what the market required. That hands-on experience across the full range of market activity is what EMA is built on.

Most people working in this market today came in after the foundations were laid. We were part of laying them.
